Unhappy major drama

I just returned home from picking up my teenage foster child from a supervised visit. When I dropped her off her brother who has active warrants and very recent drug dealing charges was at the visit. The visit was meant for her mother and younger siblings only. As I walked away I felt sick leaving her there. Her case worker is out of town so I called the police. As we where leaving the play area I saw him being arrested. There where four police cars. I'm sick over the enitire event. I'm not sure what to do now. She seems to get that I have to report these things. She is putting up a front right now and just talking about going minigolfing and boys..

Oh, yuck! What a horrible situation for you to be in! But who is supervising these visits? Shouldn't it be their responsibility to monitor who is attending and handle these sorts of things?

I truly feel for you and know what you are going through.

I once had to call and have a parent arrested. Her children and I sat in the vehicle while the police entered the house she was at to arrest her.

It's never easy to do and she might be angry at some point but she will respect that you follow the law and are consistent in how you handle situations... even if she's not happy about it.
