Took my son to reunite with his foster parents
Some of you might be interested in how it went.
My son, G, was raised by his foster parents from 18 months to 4.5 years (exactly 3 years to the week) and then we adopted him. He is now 13 and this was his first trip back since finalization at age 5. Anyways, we just got back from spending time with them (and meeting his birth family) and I blogged about it. I also have been a foster parent, and it was an interesting perspective for me too. A Nickel's Worth of Common Sense Obviously its a blog, so might be better to read from the beginning. I only started it at the beginning of our trip.

Thank you I enjoyed reading your blog. We are finalizing our adoption of our two in half year old foster son August 1 we have had him since day 4 of his life. I know someday we will be going through this process, somehow and it brought comfort to me to read your experience.
