suprisingly I am already seeing some small smiles!!I took the kids to church this morning... the older ones went to kids church and I kept him with me. I wore him the entire time. Going out is much easier if I wear him, I need both hands to keep up with the others! LOL
I picked up the tween (C) that I do respite for and she was immediately offended that he didnt smile for her. She is wonderful with kids. She is also a huge help with the kids when she wants to be!! Think attitude problems!!
We were hanging out outside and I wasnt wearing him when the older girl got a bug bite. I ran inside with her and when I got back out C had the baby and was taking him up and down the slide and he was actually grinning!! She was so impressed with herself!!
He was really clingy this afternoon but after she started playing with him it he was content! I did spend a lot of time rocking him while the others were sleeping. He didnt eat very well yesterday or Fri but sure made up for it today!!

thank you all for you words of wisdom!! Babies are so hard... they make me so sad!!

Today was the first day for 5 kids, 4 under 4 and an 11 yr old, in the house.... I live in a 3 bedroom newer mobile home... I am loving it!! My family and friends think i must have lsot my mind!!

Loving life???...........yes, you MUST be crazy! LOL

Most people just look at fostering and see the hassle....sometimes you actually have to live it to see the joy gained from it. And then again, sometimes you have to live it to REALLY see the hassle in it. It's not for everyone but those who love it need to be cloned.

So happy that little guy is eating better and managed a grin. He's warming up!

When we first got our twins, they were 5 months old. WHile they were born at 29 weeks premature, Evie was still wearing preemie clothes. Evie never cried. Never. We had to watch her closely and check her often for a wet or soiled diaper, for feedings, or being tired. It wa so sad. After just a few weeks, she was smiling and learned to cry. Her biomom would hold her twin brother, but would literally never hold her. When the caseworker would visit, the cw would always hold Evie because the biomom always had her either lying in her baby bed, or carseat, while biomom would hold and play with Ethan. Now since fostering the twins and adopting them, Evie is the SWEETEST thing and the most loving lil' bit you will ever see. She loves to be held and loved and hugged on. Just give that baby plenty of love and ectra attention. He will come around/
