A Happy Note
I just went to drop off curly top and bunny boy for their visit with their dad. Today is the last time I do that since they are going home on monday. Dad came to me with tears in his eyes and gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and with shakey voice he told me "Thank you Liz for all you did for my sons" and he thanked my daughter and couldn't speak any more. I just told me to just make sure that the boys stay in touch with me.
He really touched my heart. I know that won't be the case with mom, she hates me. (they're not together) Just thought I share a happy note.

Gosh...if only they all ended that way...it would fostering SO much nicer. I so hope he does keep in touch with you so the boys know you are still there for them.

Thank you for sharing that sweet moment. I agree, it would be wonderful to know more foster situations have such a happy outcome.
