Hey Everyone,

I just got in the mail a request to be at a permanency planning meeting next week. I am suprised because it is right before our court day and no one has mentioned it before. Do you think this is odd??
I do know they are going to try to get the parents to voluntarily relinquish so I am hoping that may have something to do with the short notice and timing here.
What do you all think??

The permanency meeting is where the cw, GAL, CASA, sometimes the foster parent and usually the bios get together so that there are no surprises in court. I've been to 2 of them on my kids. They are usually a week or so before the court date--at least around here. This is the place where all of the concerns can be hashed out before the actual hearing.
