Getting concerned
After reading many post on this forum, it seems that states have to license you.
I got an email saying that I am approved and my certificate is in the mail. I never knew the state had to also approve. I am with a private agency in Phila. Can someone shed some light on this. Also wondering how many people got the call after business hours that a child is available.

Not to worry...The license comes from the state. The agency approves you based on the homestudy, clearnces and then it's sent to the state. The actual certificate is from the state.

Jennifer - 1/2 and 1/2 on the calls....I get calls during the day for transfers and usually at night or early in the am for 'new' placements.
