TPR...finally

After 2 1/2 years for our foster daughter (3 years old) and 3 years for her sisiter(6 years old), rights are terminated, time to appeal has passed and we are now in adoption court.

Wow...what a time it has been...thanks to everyone who guided me and my family with their advice along the way.

Pat

Great for you and your family. The road is hard. 2 1/2 years is wayyy toooo lonnnggg for children to be in foster care. Mine were in a little bit longer than that. It is just a shame how the courts treat these children.

Go out and have a great life. It will take awhile to settle down and get your life back. It took my wife and I at least 2 or 3 months before we got used to being able to do things on our own schedule instead of the social workers, case workers and courts time.

I know that's a great feeling to be heading for finalization, may the road be smooth.
