1st Foster Placement

Well after commenting on other threads about not getting a placement yet we got a call Wednesday. We have been licensed foster/adopt for just over 3 months. I picked her up late Thursday evening. 19th month old girl who despite being through so much is so sweet. Keeps us all hopping since she doesn't sit still but that's okay. My babyproofing continues. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep a lazy susan cabinet in the kitchen closed? I'm worried she's going to smush her hand. First night involved almost no sleep but last night went well. We found out she greatly prefers a twin bed to a crib so we had to go and buy a side rail. Right now we have no idea how long she'll be here except it could be longer since she had been in custody before.

Thanks for listening
Becky

There are special latches that you can buy to keep the cabinet closed. Being so busy you may want to check e-bay, as you can shop day or night.

God bless and enjoy her!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad that the little one seems to be settling in well. Keep on loving on her as long as she is in your home and her sweet little spirit will never forget. Bless you.

How great!! I agree with pp, just give her all the love you've got and that will help her more than you know!
