Anyone know if you can take PRIDE classes in a different state than you will be

licensed in? I am planning to move to Texas (not quite sure when, hopefully in the next few months) and was wondering if I can do PRIDE classes here in Virginia? I did classes (not PRIDE, some other acronym) for my therapeutic license but let that lapse after my kids went home when my old job was sucking my lifeblood out. Of course, the counties here may not be at all keen on having me in training when I will be utilizing it elsewhere anyway. Thanks for your help!

You'll need to call Texas and ask.

The hours and course requirements may be different.

We moved from Illinois to Texas two years ago (we were only there for a few weeks and moved to Arizona) but my research and phone calls resulted in 'no'. They do not allow for portability of your class credits...

In order to become licensed, I would have had to go thru it all again, even though I had just become licensed days before our move (long story...)

We're in Virginia and our PRIDE instructor stated on multiple occassions that they will not share our background checks, home studies or anything else with other agencies or locales because they want us only working with them.
