good luck~ I am doing it! so can you!!!! I have a 2 month older, a terrible 2 year older (ha) and a 6 and 7 year older. The baby is easy. It is the toddler who will keep you on your toes.

Is the toddler a boy or girl? If a girl, probably alot easier. My boy who is 2 is a tough cookie!

good luck~

I have 1 1/2, 2 1/2, and 4 1/2. and I've had them each since they were babies. It's a challenge, but it's also a lot of fun.

I was placed with a 3 day old baby and have twins who were 18 months old at the time. It was hard, but worth it. Good luck.

I hear ya

I have a daughter who is 2 and I took in a foster boy 16 months old and got a phone call shortly after to take my little foster girl back who I had already had a year and she is 20 months old- so yeah I understand fully. I just try to have a routine and things go pretty well. Best of luck to you.

You'll do fine. I never thought I'd say this but two kids is easy. It's three that makes me crazy. I have a 6 month old, 11 month old, and 2 3/4 year old.

Hopefully your toddler is on board and will enjoy and be gentle to the new one.

I remember thinking the same thing "How am I going to do this?" when we had *A* who was only 5 months old at the time and got the call for newborn *B*. Still have them both & they're 5 months to the day apart!! In all honesty however I think it's been pretty good and much easier than I feared to begin with. Both girls have totally opposite personalities, which is actually quite helpful. I know I get a tad frazzled when they both start crying at the same time, but I think the key is establishing a routine that works and sticking to it. For instance I get up every morning and make their bottles, I get *A* up first because she can hold her own bottle, change her, give her the bottle, then I go get *B* and do the same thing. After they're done we hang out and play and after about 30 minutes *A's* ready for real food so I go feed her while *B* continues playing in our safely gated living room. Before I know it it's nap time and I put them down, then pretty much do it all over again an hour or two later Thing's like shopping and bringing them out to the car is a lil more complicated, but since your toddler can probably walk that part will be a bit easier. It won't take long to figure out a routine that works best for your family and kids thrive best with a predictable routine anyways.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. She is a sweet tempered baby. And just so beautiful. I've never had any experience with infants. They were always scary to me when they are so tiny. My little guy adores her and isn't displaying any jealous yet.

The sleep deprivation is not great though. Otherwise so far so goo.

So how old is she? When you get a bit of free time tell us more about her case. Is it possible that she can be a permanent addition?

She is just about a month old. All I know so far is her mother is a long term user with children already removed and terminated and dad is currently unknown. So far thats all I know. I'm hoping to hear more today or tomorrow about what her long term outlook may be. I'll let you all know more when I know more.
