younger children

I get calls practicially every day for 6- 7 -8 yr olds..... I want a child under 5 and am willing to take a sibling group. I am open to boys or girls. I feel guilty not taking a child simply because they are the wrong age, at the same time I know I enjoy toddlers, babies and preschoolers more then older kids.
I feel so selfish for turning away these kids, but at the same time am very hesitant to take an older child because of the way things went with the other child I had.
I did say yes twice last week but they had found another home for them in the meantime.
I go through this with each phone call, what if I turn down a perfectly wonderful child and then end up with a challenging toddler.
I am in this to help the kids not to adopt.
After my call on Friday I talked to the intake person about the possibilty of getting younger kids and he said with me working less hours and having a babysitter come to my house it increases my chances of getting younger kids. But then he called me AGAIN with an 7 yr old boy, that needed a home

I'm the opposite, I want 7, 8 or 9 year olds because I work full time and I get calls for little ones, I just took in a challenging 3 year old, luckly I was able to get him in daycare school the same week.
