so about 2 weeks ago the county called me about a 7 month old baby girl, I was soooo excited, then nothing, I found out later that the baby never came into care.
so today they called me about a 3month old dont know if it is a boy or a girl, I said of course I would take it and now I havent heard a word again...arghhh I wish they wouldnt call until they were sure the baby is coming it is just so emotional...oh well keep your fingers crossed that the baby will arrive today..
thanks for letting me be a big cry baby and complain here

Oh I hate when they tease me too. I get calls and get excited and start getting things ready and then nope no baby. The good thing is your getting called, so they are not forgeting you.

I know! One time they called me about 2 little girls, I've only had boys. I got so exited I went shopping for little mermaid toddler beds, bedding, and carseats. 2 days later I called to find out what happened and they told me they didn't come into care. Good for the girls but they could have called me to let me know.

I got a call once for 5 month old twin boys - I was BESIDE MYSELF with excitement. Same thing - they didn't come into care. Doesn't make much sense to me that they are looking for a home before they are sure the children are even coming into care!!! Oh well - The two I have now will probably be leaving sometime between Oct & Dec. They will have been in my home for 2 years in August. It's going to be REALLY hard letting them go!!!!!

well they finally called, no baby, they are giving the mom one week to get her act together. Im like what??? one week, that is plenty of time for the baby to be harmed and not enough time for anyone to get the "act" together kwim??? any way I hope the best for mom and baby and who knows maybe she is a magician and can "straighten" her self up in the next week...
