So, long story short...these 2 kids we were hoping to get placed with us from another county (if you read some of my other posts you will understnad what I am talking about). So their office called out office today and said b/c of the distance, it is a no for us, but still waiting on an answer from their regional director as to where they are placing the kids (they found another possible home for them). Which I believe is the director I have spoken to about all this. So, My case worker called me back and said their office called her again asking for her to call her back. Could thet have changed their mind, and want to place them with us now???? My cw said she is going to keep calling them back.......

ok, so the cw for the kids called our cw back. Now we are not out of the picture. They want us to come down for an interview, same process they did for this other couple who is will to take the kids that is closer for bio mom's visits. However, she told our cw that is BF signs his rights, we will more than likely possibly get these kids and if he signs his rights, then birthmom will as well (wich we already knew she would). But, if he doesn't, the they will give them to the local couple. Are they just having us down to pull our leg again for the next 9 weeks? How long are they going to give the bf to sign off his rights? They want us down asap for this interview (which is 5 hours away). We have to make sure my hubby will nto get in trouble ( as his work is not considerate to some things) and beings this is not a "sourt ordere thing" they may not be cooperative. They will not do a phone interview, which I understand. But....I would like to know a few things before we commit to this interview. Like, 1) how long are they going to give him to sign his rights. 2) once we do this interview how long before they makae their decision?. Does anyone else have any other suggestions. Oh yeah, birthmom is still in jail, trying to find a place to live to get out. BF is out of state, and every court hearing with in the past 5 months, he came up with an excuse why he could not be there. Please, anyone, any suggestions, or questions you can think of I should ask before commiting to this interview thing?
