Biological brother adoption - out of Birthorder and possible RAD
I am an adoptive mother of two children (4 1/2 yr girl & 3 yr boy). We recently were contacted by the Bmom of the 3yr old to tell us the biological brother of the 3 yr old is going to be displaced and wanted to know if we wanted to adopt him. We have never met him and he is 6 yrs old. He potentially has RAD (self diagnosed by current adoptive mom) and I am concerned with two issues and looking for advice.....
Please let me know of any successful out of birth order adoptions Please let me know of what consequence RAD will have on my younger children and what are the success rates of RAD children attaching. Thanks for input this is all new to us and we are concerned about the RAD issue..... |

If you haven't already, you may want to post this on the Special Needs forums. Lot of parents of RAD kids there.
