Tpr On Both Parents!

The Judge did TPR on both parents! The Biodad never showed so obviously he was bluffing when he said he was running late. Now we have to wait 30 days until adoption process can be started to see if Biodad is going to appeal.
I feel great! We have made it through the toughest part. Now it's just a waiting game, hopefully no more rollercoaster
Thank all of you for your prayers and support.

YAHOO!!!! I'm so happy for you! I kept checking the forum to see if you had updated. Since bio-dad would need to hire his own lawyer to do an appeal (court appointed one is gone bye-bye!), it's doubtful he'll file an appeal. If he doesn't care enough to show up for court, I doubt he'll pay money for an appeal- Especially since TPR's are VERY rarely overturned. Congrats to you!!!

All that worry! I bet you are so relieved! God is SOOO good! Enjoy that baby!

Not worried at all about the 30 day waiting period. I was so mentally and physically exhausted from the 7 1/2 hours in the courtroom that I didn't feel up to explaining the events last night on the forum but I did want you all to know the outcome as soon as possible.
Alot of drama yesterday but final word was Biomom voulintarily signed over her rights and Biodad expressed his uninterest in the child via telephone communication....Although he DID NOT sign over his rights, it was obvious he didn't want to be bothered. He spoke to his attorney one time on the phone and then ignored the other 5 attempts to reach him again by phone.
In other words, no one is going to contest this so we just have to sit back and wait.
I learned alot that I did not know about my child's first months of his precious little life, and in those things I learned, there is no way he would've been given back to his BioMom.
I feel like he is ours now.
No hesitation in saying that.
Truly ours.
It has been such a long, sometimes exhausting journey, a worrisome experience, more than some people could ever imagine.
But I know that many of you that are reading this have experienced the same feelings sometime along your journey as well.
I can just tell you that prayer, hope, and positive thinking will get you through this.
Hang in there.

Congratulations.

I am so happy to hear this for you and your little one.

I am on the same path as you are...and am nearing the big TPR date......and hope that our outcome is as good as yours.

Relax and enjoy the lift off your shoulders. It must be a wonderful feeling.

Hugs
K
