Judge Approved TPR!!!!!
My entire family is walking on cloud nine! Although we all have been down with the flu
 and haven't been able to really celebrate yet, it doesn't take away our joy! On Valentine's Day we had our trial date for TPR and the judge ruled to terminate rights! What could have been the worst Valentines Day ever became the best ever. It was the hardest thing I ever had to sit through in my life. My husband and I were given De Facto Parent Status so we were sitting up at the table along with the bio parents.....awkward. But in the end our SON will never leave us!!!!! He is home forever!!!!! We have had him since he was 3 mos old and he is now 8mos. and such a baby doll and a Daddy's boy, no matter how hard I try to get him to be a Mommy's boy. Maybe that will change when he gets older. LOL!God is good and I give Him all the praise and glory for this one!!!!!!

Approved and Liscensed--March 2007 Placed with 10 month old--Mid 2007--foster/adopt---Goal-Adoption Birth parents terminated their rights--March 08 Adoption completed on Natl Adoption Day 2008  New FD place May 08---RU'd with mom March 09

Foster/Adopt classes began January 14, 2008 Classes completed February 28th, 2008 Licensed to Foster/adopt September 9th, 2008 Soon to be AD placed 07/10/09 adoption to be 01/10  FD- M 6 yo placed 10/02/09  FD- H 6 yo placed 02/20/09 united with aunt 07/10/09FD- J 2 yo placed 02/20/09  united with aunt 07/10/09FD- Big K 9 yo placed 10/07/08 To be reunited with parent 02/27/09  FD- Lil' K 7 yo placed 10/07/08 To be reunited with parent 02/27/09

Happily Married to wonderful Hubby  Since May 2006!Kinship Care "Lil Princess"  2yoa since March 2007 TPR: March 11th, 2008 Set up with Adoption Prep-worker: April 2008/appeal after appeal. Mandate Issued by appeals court: December 2008. Adoption homestudy and paperwork in progress! Finalization date set: May 20th 2009! Gave birth to a perfect lil angel November 11th, 2008! Big Sister is such a wonderful help  "What you say in the midst of your difficulties will have a great impact on how long you stay in them"

That was quick! My A1's TPR trial (trial because one parent refused to voluntarily relinquish) took 2 days and we didn't get a judge's ruling for 90 days.
Here's hoping that now TPR is complete the adoption will be finalized soon.

With the same amazing man for 15yrs Mom to a wild and crazy bunch:  Adopted - A1 - 9 yrs (adopted Oct 2005) Adopted - A2 - 5yrs (adopted Dec 2006) Biological - T - 1 yr (born 7-29-08) :Exchange student - K - 17yrs Former foster child (lives with me during the week) - M - 13yrs (foster child from age 6yrs to 11yrs)Total of 104 foster children and 4 foreign exchange students at last count.
