Race Test?

Google has failed me, so I figured people here would know...

Is there a test out there that can figure out what a person's race is???

Our SW asked me to ask the doctor. Bmom was in the "Service" profession, and has no idea who the birth father could be. It was discussed that if they knew the baby's true race, "Mom could narrow down the field".

If the child is male, there are genealogy DNA databases that you can use to possibly determine his Sir name. Here is the largest database: Family Tree DNA - we do genetic tests for your genealogy questions!

Good Luck

we had the same problem with our now son...his mom, who was white, said the dad was black but didn't know who he was. we only get a stipend if he is a minority, since they only knew her, he was white. he is obviously bi racial. they said there's no test, but i swear i saw something on forensic files or something about how they can do that now. eventually our caseworker went to the supervisor's boss and got us the stipend, thank goodness. every little bit helps!

I think this is a very common problem. We are in the same predicament. Let us know if you go through with the testing. If it works I might try it.
