Going home
Well....
My little guy that has been with me for 26 months goes home today. I am going to miss him bunches. His mother claimes she is going to keep us involved, but I'm not so sure she will. The transition has gone fairly smoothly, but there has been some issues. Because of these issues I am not sure she will let us keep in touch. Please pray for him to keep him safe and happy.

I wish him a world of happiness and hope.
It is terribly hard to let them go. Our FS left a year ago and our daughter who is almost 4 still talks about him nearly every day. I think it is hardest on the kids. She can say word like "foster care" and can tell you her brother went to live with his Daddy V but they still don't really "get it". She asks all the time to see him and if/when he will come back. we all miss him - and I try to make myself feel better by thinking that he is happy and back with dad. |

26 months? why has it taken so long? after all this time....isn't it detrimental for a baby to go home?
at what age did you get this child? did the parents work their plan from day one or wait for two years to start and then got the child back? I am so sorry that you are losing your little one. I do hope it is the best for the child and that GOD will watch over him. Take care K

He was placed in care at birth, went home at 11 months, back in care with us 12 months and 9 days later. That leads us to today. Very detrimental after all this time. He is going home with mom. I have some concerns, but judge says time to go. She has messed up a few times, but seems to be ok now. I will pray for him that she keeps it up. I will send him home with a kiss and a smile, while fighting back tears.
