Rowan Ford raped and murdered in Missouri

I dont know if any of you have heard this or not. A little girl from Missouri was just raped and murdered by her step father.
I find my self feeling no pity at all for the mother, she worked nights and when she got home the next morning from work she noticed her daughter was missing, but didnt call in a missing persons report until like 6:50 pm and she noticed her missing at 9:00 am.
They are currently requesting any and all reports of abuse from the local DFS it seems that at least 3 different people called the abuse hotline on this family and nothing was ever done..
If any of you want to read the report just google Chris Collings or David Spears, Chris Collings was the step fathers friend and was also arrested for rape, murder and statutory rape.
It is just such a sad story that no one was able or willing to help this poor little innocent girl.
The main reason I am posting this is to get others opinions on how they feel after something like this happens, is it normal to have such strong feelings that the mom should be charged with something?
I try to put my self in her shoes, but it is very hard, I am an over protective parent, and have seen first hand what can happen to the innocent children and trust is not given it is earned....
Thanks for reading, I think I just needed to get some of this off of my mind.

Unhappy

What a beautiful precious little girl she was. I hope these men get a thousand times what they put her through! This precious angel and her family will be in our hearts and prayers here in Indiana. So sad!

Oh how sick. Both men involved are claiming to be the one that strangled her and ended her life. Can you believe this? They BOTH want "credit".

God help us all.

the mother's (non)actions

seekfirst - I TOTALLY agree with you. As a parent of four kids, if any one of them at 9 years of age wasn't home when they were expected, a few phone calls to friends would be required but after you have exhausted your list of contacts, YOU CALL THE POLICE. asap.

Conjecture, but IMO, waiting that long to contact the police for assistance makes it looks like mom was involved, or she at least surmised what had happened and was trying to 'spin' her story. Why else does a MOTHER wait 9+ hours to raise the alarm????????
