Prayers needed!!!

On Monday we will be going to court for pp hearing for our two foster children. Their worker says she will be asking for the right to file for termination. She also said the court may give the bp's more time. They have already lived with us for almost 9 months and the bp's have not completed much of their plan. They have of late started doing some, but why should the children have to pay the price. If they really wanted them back they should have started sooner, like at the beginning! The children have made so much progress that anyone that knew them in the beginning can't believe they are the same children. I'm so worried the court might send them back to that horrible place.

PLEASE pray for the children!!!

Best of luck with the court hearing.

When our A3's went to court in August and the right to file tpr was requested the judge refused and stated he wanted it to come before him in 60 days to review again.

In the 45 days since the hearing the bmom has actually worked her case plan so I'm guessing we'll be continuing again.

It was a blow to everyone when the judge denied. The DA and GAL both thought it was a slam dunk. Even the bparents' attorney was talking to them about voluntarily relinquishing because the case was so strong against them.

... never underestimate the power of someone in a higher seat wearing a black robe!

Like I wrote on my story "my little lost one", mom went to jail for 101 days, and after that she did 2 out of 3 of her caseplan-she didnt have any contact with our little one for 3-1/2 years and went we went to court, the judge ruled for mom stating that her rights were violated because she had so many representations and she did her caseplan-NOTHING about what's in the best interest of our little one. We got her when she was 3 mos old and she is now 4-1/2 years old-what do you think is going through her little head? Why am I here, etc? Her mother put a good show on to make the caseworker think that she's changed-but it didn't fool me or my husband. She said we could still be part of her life, yeah-we have not heard from her for over 2 weeks. My heart aches for this little girl. When she left my life went and I don't know how to go on. She was my sunshine, my purpose of life. I can't have children of my own and I feel that this is all my fault. I want her back to bad, I pray everyday she comes back. She went from living in the suburbs to now the slums. We quit doing foster-to-adot because of the court system-they don't care about the kids, it's all about the parents. The last time we seen her she lashed out on us and we know it's because she's almost like an autisic child-she has so much confusion and anger in her that she doesn't know how to express it. But her mother doesn't realize this, she thinks it all funny-URG! I just pray that she comes back

We don't go to court until Monday. We have to wait ALL weekend, not that we haven't already been waiting. It just seems like it will never get here. Time is moving SO slowly. I'm so worried something will go wrong on Monday and they won't be able to file for tpr.

Court Today!!!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I'm so excited! Court is at 2:00 p.m.

When the children came in February we had no intent to keep them. But now that there might actually be tpr my husband and I are getting very excited. He is even going to try to make it to the court hearing today (he has never went to any of their hearings). If this works then we have to find out about subsidy and medical insurance. I am a stay at home mom (Domestic Relations Excecutive) and my husband is the sole provider for our family. So we are worried about being able to afford two more (we already have four). We have plenty of LOVE, just have to make sure we can still feed everyone.

Pray for the children and I will update after court!!!

I'll be praying the hearing goes well this afternoon! Hopefully the SW has filed all of the paperwork.
You do have to check state guidelines, but sibling groups are usually eligible for subsidies.

Bad News :hissy:

They gave them three more months. I am so upset.

The report only contained four paragraphs, 2 VERY small ones about the children and 2 longer ones about the bp. There was nothing about the children's behaviors or the difference in the children since they were removed from the bp's. Nothing about what A has said therapy. Plus a ton more that I am to upset to talk about. I have put phone calls into the cw, GAL and cw's supervisor as well as my lisencing worker. I have spoke with the lw already and she could not believe how bad the cw dropped the ball.

I just want to scream!!!! These two children need someone to look out for them, they have already lost their little brother. If they go back maybe one of them will be next!!!!

Angry Argh!

What's going on? Your first post said that the caseworker was going to the be the one asking for them to file for TPR. How incredibly infuriating!
Prayers and hugs for the next three months.
