The saga continues

I received an email from our lawyer today. Its come out that the sibs bio mom has been back in town...not sure how long, but she was arrested at the beginning of the month for traffic violations (and they found outstanding warrants)...she was in till Friday. No word on where the baby she had is. Baby should be 11-13 months old we are guessing. CW was apparently told to try and track down the baby and remove from mom....but if she has, we haven't been notified yet. Our lawyer feels we and DCS still have a solid case against bmom and that DCS is not planning on offering services at this point. Although I have a sick feeling visits are going to take place (after 18 months). Not sure what will happen with the baby, if they will remove and add to this case or not.

We go tomorrow morning for the youngest's bios hearing. Supposed to be an initial hearing for the alleged father who was not involved at the beginning. They are expecting another baby this winter.

After my panic ended about the sibs mom coming back, my mind started racing to wondering if they will give us the baby sib to them and if the bios stick around long enough to take FD D's sib when born. That would give us 6 kids. I'm not sure we have enough room here, but would love to keep the kids together if possible. Plus we'd have to kiss some major butt I'm sure to get the waivers to allow us that many kids and at that age.

I'm sure the rest of the year will be an interesting one! God has blessed us with the 5 kids we've had in our home and I know He will continue to bless us in whatever way He sees fit!

Just had to share the latest drama thats unfolding.

Wink

We are back from D's case. The alleged father was not there, but mom was. Judge was pretty pissed that DCS has not filed for TPR still. They answered back that since dad had suddenly shown up at the last hearing they didn't feel it would have been approved. She said this man is not the father, only alleged and he obviously isn't doing anything he needs to get her back since he did not show up today. We go back in 60 days and at that point if DCS has not filed for TPR, judge may have to consider sending fd home!!!!!!! Its more a less a poop or get off the pot kinda deal. Mom would have to complete EVERYTHING on her case plan...and so far she's not done anything. Judge was very mad that she couldn't do more today, other than continue the case. So CW says they WILL be filing for the termination. Still anything can happen as we all know.....but its hopefully a step in the right direction.

I wish they would just get these kids out of the system. At 15 months file for termination - if the judge says no - they say no and try again 6 months later. My girls have been in care for just about 16 months now and still not one unsupervised visit. Dad will be going to jail for 4 months on July 22nd and then he has another court case in another county on August 23 for aggravated DUI, blah blah felony .. that he will serve time for too - but they are still planning on sending them home.

Spare a thought for my eldest two - under our system they will never get TPR and will remain in care until age 18 (our legal adult age)!!
My 5 year old was 4 1/2 months when they were removed from bios. I'd love to adopt them as we are a family already but we live with the knowledge that, theoretically, they could be ru any time.
