retaliation on FP's by bios

What happens or can be done if a bio does damage to a FP's home/car etc?

I can't prove this 100%, but last night i came home to find a window broken in my office/dogs room. It wasn't cracked like it could from the cold...it was shattered and looked like the screen had been pushed in from the outside.

I have suspicions that bios did this. a year and a half ago when there was problems with bios when I had the girls....I had my car broken into and then three home break in attempts....all while i was home and then a peeping Tom(the guy would rattle my door nobs and make noises outside the windows to make sure i knew he was there....one time he woke me from sound sleep by pounding on my bedroom window. A stranger woudln't know what windows went to what rooms....but the bios do.

what do I do? i dont' want to complain too much and have the fc agency think the house is not safe enough for the girls to be with me...but I want this documented that things are happening.

I don't have money for a camera to watch the house and I am gone alot of the time.

Help

K.

Report it to the police and the agency. They need to know in order to keep you safe.

Call the police. Maybe they can find some fingerprints of the person who did this. Good luck and stay safe.

Report report report!!!!!! Your saftey is just as important as the children. If it is the bios, next time they may go further. Don't take any chances. Tell everyone that will listen.

There are things you can do without spending a ton of money. Do you have an alarm system? If you will call the police, they can look for tracks outside the window, look for fingerprints and let you know if someone actually came into the house. If you have a video camera you could set it up to record while you are out of the house. You could also monitor all phone calls on your home phone so you will know what is being told to the bios. (Yes, this is perfectly legal if your name is on the bill.) There are many other things you can do to find out who this is without spending a lot of money... It would really help if there was some type of pattern to the breakins... Look at dates and events that have just taken place.

I agree with everyone else here - you have to report this. to the poice, to the agency, to the state case worker. You didn't say whether the goal here is adoption or reunification, but if there is a chance of reunification the state case worker needs to know about this unstable behavior of the bio family.
