Im curious about group homes. DH and I were thinking that we might would want to start a group home. Do any of you have an idea of what it would take? DH would like to be able to stay at home with me and us help as many kids as we possibly could. Do the states help fund these homes? It was just a thought that ran through our heads and we have no idea where to start.

There are agencies here in PA that hire couples and singles to be "Professional Foster Parents". The agency provides the house and vehicle and money to run the house and the parent(s) gets a salary. I belive in the case of the couple, one could work outside the home. They of course control the kids that come and go since you work for them. I wonder if there is a similiar situation where you are. It might be something to try before you try to do it on your own.
