Permancy Hearing
Hi everyone,
It has been awhile since I have been on this silly computer but summer is winding down, and we met with our fs case worker today. We have had our boy for about 6 months and the case worker is already talking TPR. I really am nervous about that. Only because I don't want to get me hopes up but he really doesn't think they can get their act together. There are alot of mental problems. So with that said has anyone had case workers that talk a lot about TPR so early in the case. Esentially in NYS they have 12 months before the case worker can file a TPR, but they are still recieving theraputic visits and he feels at this point they should be having weekend visits. Well if anyone has any info on this let me know. Thanks Dee

We actually had TPR filed at 8 months for our oldest son. Adoption at 11 months old. B-dad walked ot of the first meeting with DSHS saying he was not interested in their "plan". B-mom walked away at 3 months with no word.
Our second son was relinquished by b-mom when he was 6 months. The alleged father fought for paternity but was denied (a jailed level 3 sex offender). TPR was granted at 11 months and adoption at 13 months. If the CW feels there is adequate grounds for TPR, they can run both case plans concurrently. At least here in WA then can.

We are in Vancouver. We have been VERY fortunate to have a great licensor and fantastic case workers from begining to end. I think that has a lot to do with things. What more would you like to know? I would love to share what I can.
