Ok, I finally put in my 30 day notice because of all the things my fd has done to my family. I could not keep her here because she was hurting the others. So everything was going good until today. She has been told that she was going to another house. We have tried to make it a POSITIVE instead of a negative move. She is fine with it. I told her she could still write me, that the new house is for HER BEST INTEREST. She is actually fine with it. She still cries once in a while because she says she will miss us but she really is doing ok. Better that anyone thought she would. So She has said good bye at school today because the move was scheduled for Tom. morning. The SW comes over and tells me that the move will not happen until Thursday of next week. AFTER HER BIRTHDAY. The new foster mom is excited to have her on her birthday and has gotten her the toy she wanted. So why? Everything is in place and now nothing can happen. I am done! WHY CAN'T THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO WITHOUT SCREWING UP EVERYONE ELSE! My Child's birthday is this weekend. Hers is next Wed. So screw up my plans for whatever reason they want. I just don't get it!

Is there any chance she can be placed in "respite" at the new home until the actual transfer takes place???

Nope. They want her here and no where else. Just my luck!

Hmm, are are done with foster care altogether or just this placement? If you're done all together, I can think of some things you can do to make this happen, but it may ruin your chances of fostering thereafter.
