But I guess I found out y FD2 was throwing up Friday nite and diarrhea all Saturday well... it could be a reason... They fed her fast food AND candy!

I didn't find it out til I told the SW that FD was throwing up and then she told me. She's says that they aren't suppose to tell the bparents anything... But SW is taking notes...

Nice, my kids had cheetos for lunch the other day. I have also asked for candy to not be brought home and guess what the sw said - she will just have them eat it all at the visit and she can run of the energy when she gets home!

I had issues with biomom forcing (yes, forcing) the 5 y/o to eat a full size candy bar on a visit, followed by a fast-food meal with coke as dinner (FD was told "not to waste the candy bar and eat it all). FD would also go back for THIRDS at meal time if you didn't watch her. This girl wore size 10 clothes and was only 5. I took her to the doctor to make sure she was current on all her shots (a good excuse to go to the doc) and discussed the weight issue with the doc. She agreed FD was too heavy, did weight-height measurements and found that she was at 33% BMI - she says kids should be around 20 or 22%. She also tested FD's urine for sugar and protein, which may indicate diabetes and explain the weight and food cravings, but she was ok there. I asked the doc to write a note or an order so that I could have a bit more control over her- she did. It read "FD has a BMI of 33% which classifies her as obese. FD is not to have candy or soda pops and must have her sweets monitored" I copied the note and made sure that everyone got one: SW, person supervising the visits (and she asked for a copy for biomom), teacher at daycare, etc. It helped alot, even though biomom got mad at me and still tried to sneak chocolate to her on visits.

I think we all have the same problems in this area... After several upsetting events with visitations, I layed down the law (in fact, I did this on Friday). I will ONLY meet bios halfway or at a park if I am to supervise visits. The bios can only call once a day. All visits must be confirmed by noon the same day of the visit - if I don't hear from the bios by that time, I do not go to the visit. And, if the kids are spending the day at a relatives house, I pack each one of them a lunch with snacks.

One other thing I did - so far this has worked - I told the kids that they could only have one candy bar while at the bios. I hope that they will continue to follow my rules while they are at their relatives... Since I have done this (only one visit since new rules) I have not had anyone coming home sick, throwing up, or yelling. I hope this continues b/c it made a huge difference yesterday!!! Wahoo!

Hope that helps
