Explain This..If You Can..

I received a phone call yesterday saying we were going to be getting a girl and boy sibling group today. The CW was supposed to be in court at 2pm for them and she would call me around 4 or 5.

Its 9pm and I havent heard anything.

Is it normal to not hear anything? Or them change their minds?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Oh it's totally normal, especially approaching a holiday weekend.

Someone (IE a lawyer) may have missed court, judge may have asked for more info, judge may have given a certain amount of time for more information etc. . .

And, unfortunately, social workers don't always have time to contact the potential foster family.

I would give them a call in the AM

Yep, happens all the time - I just posted on this a couple days ago, the judge may not have removed. Next time when they call you ask them for the CW's number and make sure you tell them you will call to follow up, it typically makes them remember to call you. If they don't call, you call them.

I agree totally normal! If you do not call in the am, I'm sure you will hear from them after the holiday. Someone must have gone on vacation...
