Cute Comments Children Say

Okay we did the **dumb comments** thread now I thought I would start a **cute comments** foster children say.

My 2 year foster son yesterday was woken up from his nap in the car and was very crabby, so when we got in the house I took him into the bedroom and went to lay him on the bed. He looked at me and without whining (which is a miracle) said "Mommy what did I do wrong?" I told him nothing I just thought he was tired still, he said " No I am not tired" so I told him he didnt have to lay down.

I just thought that was so cute.

I'm gonna love this thread! Kids are so darned funny!

I was teaching my day care kids their address. It goes like this, to the tune of "The Muffin Man"

Do you know Johnny Doe, Johnny Doe, Johnny Doe?
Do you know Johnny Doe who lives in Anytown, New Haaaaampshire.?

then

Do you know Johnny Doe, Johnny Doe, Johnny Doe?
Do you know Johnny Doe who lives on Anyname Rd. ?

A little 2 1/2 year old boy said, kinda offended, "I don't live on a road! I get hit by a car!" LOL

I live in the cloudy northwest. On a rare cloudless day, my 3 yr old foster daughter said, "Mommy, I can't see the sky. That blue stuff is in the way."

When asked what FD2 name is my FD1 will say "my baby"! It's sooooooo cute!

Things that melt my heart is when FD1 will tell me out of the blue "I love u" or after giving her hug she'll say "big hug".

FD2 will now cry when she sees me when I get home from work or she just wants me to hold her..... and she smiles!

We ask FD1 where's daddy's hair? She says "don't have it" and then we ask where is it? She says "legs". Yes, he's bald and has hairy legs.

FD1 is always asking "what happened?" It's soooo cute! She has to know EVERYTHING!

Hmmmmm.... can't think of what else.... but I know I have another million or so more things that my fdaughters do that either make me smile OR makes my heart melt....

When my nephew was a toddler my sister & brother-in-law lived about 2 hours south of Eugene. When they would tell T that they were going to go to Eugene to see his grandparents he would get all excited.

One day he asked when they would be going to "My"gene to see gramma & pappa.

The best thing I've ever heard is... "Mama." So it's not a cute saying, but it's sure enough to melt my heart!

My very favorite memory of my nephew was when he was 2 1/2, I had bought my mom a computer for Christmas and some little software for him. His very first time, he figured out the mouse faster than most adults. And he would say "may I click and dance?" then "oh GINK you - me just buvs this song about the turkey and the straw!" and he'd dance around the room while the song played.

He was beyond adorable.

My husband had a friend who worked for a cell phone company. They had the mock phones they put on display...he gave the kids some of the discontinued models when we were at the mall where his store was. We were walking through the mall shopping and they were talking on the phones. Mostly babble, but if I'd say something to them, they would be "Shhhhhhhh Mommy, I'm ON the phone!!" I know they've heard me say that a few too many times! Plus it was funny...people though the phones were real and that they were really talking. Someone made the comment how sad it was that such little kids now have their own cell phones and giving me dirty looks! Haha

Thought of another one.
A lot of times when we are on the way home and pull into the driveway, V will go "Good Job Mommy! You did it!!!" Sometimes I'll mess with them and pretend like I can't remember which house is ours and they help me with the directions. Then I'm "Silly mommy, how can you forget where we live?" But hey, we are working on left, right, straight, hahahaha...good directional skills!

A friend told me this one. She was teaching her son the "Our Father" prayer, one night he told her he wanted to say it by himself. On the last line instead of saying "Deliver us from Evil Amen, he said Deliver us some Email, Amen.

I was some where, and getting angry at the way I was being treated. A store or something and JM looked up at me and said "Happy thoughts Mommy". It is a saying I use all the time to help calm me down. I guess he thought I needed it.
