Here (Montana) they let us use our own judgement. They want the kids to have as much "normalcy"(sp) as possible. If the people aren't someone we would let our own biokids spend the night at, they would expect that we wouldn't let FKs stay either.

Question

I am in NY and our caseworker never said anything when we talked about sleepovers our 16 yr. old fd. has been to. In fact she suggested we have a system in place with a few other homes/friends for fd to go when she is agitated instead of running off. Hmmm...

Hmmm, not sure.

I am adopting through domestic adoption, and have had DD with us since she was discharged from the hospital. She's 7 weeks today. Our agency says we have to have anyone who will be watching DD without us there (this includes our parents, anyone) submit to a CORI and we would have to notify the agency. Not sure if it's the agency's policies or state laws here in MA.

I would check with the caseworker just to be sure. You'll feel better when you hear it from the horse's mouth. I am hopeful that the caseworker will understand that it was an innocent mistake and you realized the situation immediately.. if it's a problem in your state at all. It may not be.

Good luck.
