I am looking for ANY SINGLE adoptive parents that have any type of disability to include obesity. If you are from Arizona I really want to hear your story but I would like to hear everyones, in private or on here.

Not single, but my husband is disabled. I work - He stays home. He has severe back issues and can not work. It never has been a problem.

I am a single parent who has adopted. I do not have a disability. I have had difficulty adopting in my own state. My son is from Texas. I have been told by workers in my state (though they are not supposed to say it) they will not place in a single parent home. I think there is also a bias because I am a child protection/ adoption worker and I know too much about the system. Though I have found neither of these issues to the same level in the other states I have made inquiries for children.

I am single, not disabled, but the man I live with is. It's never been an issue. Well, the disability has never been an issue, but the not being married has. I am foster/adopt. If you would like to know anything else, you can PM me.

I'm not single. I have disabilities (most fixed thru surgeries when I was a child) but I work full-time and it has not been any problems w the system. We are a foster-to-adopt home and will be adopting a 2 yr old hopefully this summer, early fall.
