Our First Placement
Well we finally received a placement, we were told we would get her Wednesday, (the day she was born), then maybe Thursday or Friday, then Friday or Monday. Then maybe Friday at 12:00, well the wait was worth it. She came at 5:00pm tonight and she is a little angel. She woke up to eat a 1/2 hour early and then went right back to sleep. I can not get my daughter to put her down. Right now she is sitting in the bed watching tv holding her on her chest.
J born 3/15/06 placed with us for 3 or 4 months.

Twin I am so happy for you! How do you know it will only be for 3-4 months? I thought the siblings guardians didn't want another child? I guess it doesn't matter, I am just curious about it all. How exciting!! I hope I am not far behind you!

Finished MAPP classes August 2005. 2nd home visit Feb 13th 2006 Safety inspection Feb 20th. Licenced May 20th Got Baby 'J' Wednesday May 24th 2006!   She is so Beautiful. We love her so! I know it will only be for 3-4 months because the TPR date for the older 2 siblings is May 16th they are adding the newborn onto the TPR. The cousin of the mother that has the siblings just doesn't feel she can take care of and keep safe a newborn right now. She came to visit her for the first time yesterday afternoon and fell in love with her.
The funniest thing is that my husband has been fighting me on fostering for the past year. He agreed to do it, but every chance he got he kept saying we didnt need any more children in our house. I thought it would take about a day of having the baby in the house to turn him around. I WAS WRONG IT TOOK 5 MINUTES LOL!!!!!!!! He is telling me that I have to go buy her more pink clothing, I need to get her this, I need to get her that (this from the man who hates when I spend money) He stopped doing his errands early yesterday so he could meet the cousin and approve of her. Which he did. He is already saying he wants to stay in touch with the cousin after she adopts the baby. I am the one having more trouble bonding to her, maybe because I am protecting myself since I know she will leave shortly.

Don't you just love to watch your children holding a little baby. My boys love our little one. It is the sweetest thing to watch them interacting with her.
Congrats on your new addition. Enjoy buying all those pink baby clothes (again!).

Congratulation!!! I just love getting new babies. Enjoy her the time she is with you. And have fun buying all the cute baby stuff. I love shopping for baby clothes.

Thank you everyone. Now for the biggest suprise. My youngest bio d is 18 and has never liked little kids or babies. She has been gone all weekend and when she got home tonight she couldnt wait to see her, AND SHE ACTUALLY HELD HER boy was I surprised. Funny how much power one tiny little baby has.
