Well I haven't posted in a while but wanted to state that it's now March 5th and still not a single call for a placement. Our county has been way beyond slow with having children come into care.We have the "Family support Center" which is a single point of entry for children of all ages coming into care in this county. They have been so slow that there was 5 days when they had NO children at all. Then they had one baby for about a week and now there are 3 children there.
Everyone seems quite surprised. I've talked to Caseworkers who have said they have never seen it like this.

It is so hard as that word just keeps popping up in every step of this journey!

The only good thing is - if the amount of children entering care is low then that is a good thing for the children in your county!

Sorry MC-I wish you could move over to our county we need you! It is a shame we can't do something between the counties since we are so close.

At least this means that in your county there aren't as many families in crisis. Our county was really slow through December. I thought I would never get a call and then it has been very busy since. I imagine that is what will happen.
