"NEW PLACEMENT"
I got a call yesterday for a 22 month old boy. He is adorable. I'm waiting to call the doctor. This child has the worst diaper rash scars. He has a diaper rash and open sores on the back of his legs. He has a swelling in his groin thats red and is very sensitive to the touch.

Poor Baby
Oh my gosh, that sounds so painful for the little guy. I hope you can get him in to see the doctor today. The cruelty of some people will never cease to amaze me.

Robin,
my ped said for bad diaper rash you can make this ointment 1 part lotrimen(?)1 part zinc oxide 1 part hydrocortizone cream mix them together and then apply. It works great especially when the skin is bleeding and swollen.Have them check for scabies on his legs. The only reason I say that is our little guy had open sores on his legs and it was scabies. Poor guy.Ihope he finds relife soon

I took my fs to the Dr anyone here of MRSA? It's an infection that causes boils on the body. Its very resistant to antibiotics. He was given 3 perscriptions. Poor baby had to have an abcess cutt and drained he was screaming. The doctor said if the parents were IV drug users it could have been past from them yo him from open sores. I take him back in a week for a follow up. ps. Jackie my first placement went home. I have 2 they keep me busy not thinking of my little dillybug I'll miss him but I will still see him.

My nine year old daughter had this in Nov and was in the hospital for nine days. It is very contagious and they had to take special precautions with the open wound. It is resistant to antiobiotics and cause make them very ill.
The bacteria lives on our bodies (according to the dr) and can be spread from person to person. I would watch them very carefully to make sure they do not get worse. Hope your little one is feeling better, Happy123 |

My 9 yo had MRSA this Fall. It is VERY contagious! Make sure you have gloves, etc! That said, it can be treated successfully.
Tell your ped that you have other small kids at home, they may want to treat/ closely watch all- Make sure you document! |
