Well, A. was transitioned from foster to adopt 12/22/05.
Sws said that she and adoption counselor would be coming out first week in Jan. Sws came by this week to tell me that the adoption counselors had all the cases they could handle and we have to wait for them to lighten their load before we can start. Of course, I can understand their point of view. There is really no hurry. He is now a ward of the state, is adoptable, and in a safe enviroment. What's the hurry, right? sigh...sigh again...we are so anxious to get this over with. But I keep trying to look on the bright side--at least his babysitting and medical needs are taken care of, compliments of the state. I remembered that the judge had said he wanted interim progress reports on the adoption. When I asked her about it, she said, "yeah, I'm going to write a progress report next week". So I guess she won't have much to say....
