Bmom is due to have a baby any day now. It wil be a half sibling to JM. Bmom has signed over but we are waiting for the ruling from the judge to see if tpr is done or if that goes on a little longer. My question is, if tpr isn't done before baby is born, (state is wanting to remove asap) will it go on the same case as JM or will they be considered different cases? Imo I don't even see why they want to take the new baby. I see no case for it. JM lived with his mgmom since he was 3 months old.I keep getting different answers here in Ky. Please help if anyone knows.

Was JM removed from bmom or bgmom? That could make a difference. I believe either way this would be a new case..

Hmmm... J is a half-sibling to the younger 2. They had different TPR's, but that was because of bdad's not bmom. Bdad of the younger 2 took them when bmom was in jail and J stayed in care until an extremely distant relation agreed to take him as a kinship placement. J's bdad was already in jail, so he couldn't take him.

Every case is different. Our girls are full siblings, both taken into custody at birth. They were on different timelines until just recently. I believe their cases were jus rolled together at the last court hearing but not sure.

Even if they were taken from Mom, it does not automatically mean they will take the baby at birth.
In a similiar situation, I was told the baby would have to test positive for drugs, before they would remove her.

In kentucky they take babies at birth all the time for a number of reasons. Ive had 2 in a year. They want to take it because mom has had a kid and didn't care for it and her boyfriend has had 2 children tpr'ed on. this state will take it until they can prove they can care for children. JM was in gmoms care when he was removed. I know it's a little confusing, okay alot! I was just wondering. As I said I don't think the state has grounds to remove. She is working well with social services and and I think they should give her a chance before they remove.
