Just wondering if anyone u know or heard that had allegation from doing foster care. we have allegation on our son and it is tearing us apart, if i knew how much it hurts about allegation I would never done foster care, the system is so messed up and doesn't tell us stuff there are so many allegations that happen each month. So I hope more people out there hear more about these allegations and don't happen to them. Right now we are going through lot and been very stressful for our family and what my son is going through, I feel so sorry for him for us doing foster care I didn't think in this world it would happen to us. But we wil get through this but it won't forget what has happen to our son, and what he has to go for his rest of his life. We personally know 2 families that have gone through this and lost. My dh and I are fully aware of what can and does happen to foster parents. We refuse to let this stop us from helping children in need. We want to do God's will and will trust in Him to protect us. We know that God will be with us no matter what.
I am not sure why this is happening to foster families. It seems as if the state is biting the hand that feeds them. Our friends led a long hard fight and lost. spent over 10,000 dollars that they didn't have and are still paying off, while their accusers
were paid to be in court and had all their fees covered. I could not believe that such a good loving family that we have known for 18yrs could be accused of such things. It got very twisted. This is the reason I was not willing to jump to conclusions in the "In Cages" thread. I am not saying that there are not abusive foster families out there but I have seen first hand how the media can twist things.
The other family we know of were accused of abusing their own adopted kids. They spent 700,000 (they have alot of money) and ended up disrupting the whole adoption. One of their kids had severe RAD and he was way too smart and accused them.
I am so sorry that you are going through all this. Taking other children into our homes is a risk. This is one of the reasons we are taking younger children. Older children seem to know so much nowadays and they know how to work the system. So sad to live in these times but we must still try to make a difference.

We took in younger children they are 7 and 4 years old, and the stuff they came up with about what my son has done to them, and my son is 14 yrs old. these kids have done in the past but never told us before we took them for placement. So I just like to see other people take extra concouious who they take.

We have been there 3 times total. Each time found unfounded but still a horrible situation to be in when you thought you were helping someone.

I am so sorry to hear about your troubles, If there is anything about us ever said I would prefer it to be about my dh or myself, not about my 2 kids. we only take kids under 5, and I ALWAYS ask if there is past allagations made, kids have a patteren, and I will not take them. I have to protect my family in every way I can. And I try to take first placements, or 2nd, not kids who have moved alot.

I know, and my family and friends know the risk we are taking, But the rewards outway the risk, and I believe like the last person, God will protect us from all harm.
