I noticed a poster of a beautiful little boy. The caption read, "Looking for a reason to adopt from foster care? Here's a wonderful reason!" (or something similar)

I felt like letting out a whoop of joy! It was so good to see such positive press regarding adoption through foster care.

I knew Wendy's was a proponent of adoption, but it's nice to see it posted so dominantly and boldly. I think I'll be eating at Wendy's more often!

I rarely eat at any fast food restaurants (maybe once or twice a year) but I am very supportive of Wendy's. The ones here had some great adoption education stuff going on and they gave a lot of support to the local adoption agency.

We don't eat out much either, but I think it's great that Wendy's is sporting the posters!!!!

Wendy's is based where I live. It's founder, Dave Thomas, was adopted as a child and spent much of his adult life promoting adoption through foster care. Wendy's sponsers ALL our local children''s services events and throws a HUGE Christmas party every year for the kids. We actually did some of our research through the Dave Thomas Foundation.

Wendy's is great, isn't it?

I was the event coordinator for National Adoption Day in Oregon this (and last) year ( we had soooo much fun! )
and the Dave Thomas Foundation provided all our posters and brochures for the event. So when I go to Wendy's twice a month for chicken nuggets, fries and a frosty I always rationalize that I am supporting them back for supporting us .

My husband contacted the foundation for some information and they sent a ton of goodies! Tons of posters! A lot of info about how to open your work place up to adoption and support. We thought all of it was great and useful!
I also heard he adopted "Wendy" from the foster care system. I'm not sure if I read it in that packet or where. I know their foundation is big on raising awareness though!
