Question about Disability Payments
If there's anybody from California who knows the answer to this question, I'd appreciate it. I qualify for 6 weeks of disability payments with the state of California for bonding with our newly placed daughter.
Would they withhold the foster subsidy from the disability? I would hope not. Thanks.

It is my understanding that foster care supsidy is not considered income. It is not really your money, it is the child's money, and is supposed to be used to purchase things for the child. So, my unprofessional opinion (LOL) is that it would not be withheld from disability.
I also live in California and the leave you are taking falls under the FMLA. I don't think it is considered disability.
