They're all ours!
Well, it's all over for us. Until we move into a bigger house...some day.
We went before the judge yesterday morning and made everything final. It was great! Since it was National Adoption Day, it was a huge "ta-do". The kids were allowed to pick out one stuffed animal (there were 4 court rooms full of stuffed animals! I don't know what the other 3 looked like, but ours was filled!). They also picked out a book, a toy out of a HUGE treasure chest, and then there was a bag full of things for us and them. I thought the little one was going to throw a huge tantrum right before going into court, but he held it together and just said he was tired. So far, so good! So, for all those that think the end can't ever get here...it can!

Congratulations TexasJingles!
Did you wait very much longer to finalize in order to finalize on National Adoption Day? My dd's adoption caseworker had asked me if I wanted to wait for Nat'l Adoption Day, but I was impatient and wanted the earliest possible date, which was 3+ weeks ago. Of course, if she had told me there were free teddy bears involved...

Congratulations!!!!! I sure wish we had been able to take advantage of National Adoption Day. If the biomom hadn't appealed, it would probably have been done that day. Oh well. I am sooo happy for you and your family. Gives you something to be truly thankful this Season for Thankfulness , and family.

 when do we get to see some pictures? Congratulations!!!I'm waiting for the permenancy hearing in 2 months. Your note gives me hope that this will end eventually

Thank you to everyone! We're doing great!
C wanted spend the night a Grandma's and we didn't have to ask anyone! And we said she could stay another night if she wished! It's soooooo liberating! It's really weird actually! HAHAHA Howdy -- We signed placement papers Sept. 19 and since we were their foster parents, they had already lived with us the required 6 months. So, we could have gone to court anytime since then. We chose NAD just because ... well, I really don't know why except our friends did it last year and suggested that if we could arrange it, it would be great. It was! They made it a very special day for all of us. wrekdiver -- I don't know if we will be posting pictures...sorry! Our kids case was pretty bad, and we can't afford for them to be found. I doubt any bio's would look here, but we're not going to chance it. That's also why we'll still be using J, C, and T for their names on here. We will also be changing their SS#'s asap for the same reason.I can't wait to read about everyone else's adoption day! Thanks again!

It's been a little over 3 years for us and I rarely post pics. If I do, I delete the pictures within the hour so it's not out there forever. So after a period of time, you might consider this option. Congrats again!!!
