Have A Question?

The bioparents have court January 26th. I'm sure they will get the baby back. They have done everything. My question is how does it work. They go to court the judge says the baby goes home. Will it be that day or transition time I have never been through this. We have a good relationship I will be watching my fs when they work. The other thing I was wondering if anyone knows about methodone my birth parents are on 90mg which is high. They talk to me and said they want them on 10mg to get the baby back. Thats a big difference. Any advice would be great.

How old is the child? That will most likely make a difference in the transition.

90 mg. of methadone is high! I have a cousin who is on it and has been on it for a year or so. She's on 50 mg. They'll have to decrease them by probably 5-10 mg./week. At that rate, they may not be able to be down to 10 mg. by January.

When one of my fs's went home it was first overnight visits, then weekend visits and because those went well he went home. other times with other fc it was that day, I actually gave one mom directions to my house so she could come get him right after court, it really just depends.

It depends - sometimes it is that day and sometimes they will start overnight or weekend visits.

I would ask the CW about the methadone. If they are not reducing now, you may have him pass Jan.
