I'm confused
Hi,
I was wondering if any of you have run into a situation like I have here. My neices and nephews have gone home today for a 30 day trial. Case worker said I need to keep my home open for them. My husband and I want to close because we need a break. She said they pay to keep it open. Now, I know that the kids board payment for may will come in June. I am wondering if this is what she is talking about. Because it comes in June, she thinks it's for the month of June. Or are we going to get a board payment in July for June ( 30 day trial). Does anyone know anything about this? Any imput is appreciated. |

I have never heard of anything like that. I thought once a child left that was it, no more $. I would call the sw and ask her what she meant. If she's saying please keep the home open because she doesn't think it will work out, then you could explain that you weren't plaining on taking any for a bit anyways. I think i'd call and talk to her. Are you a licensed home? or was this a family placement?
