Well....Initial TPR hearing over
The initial hearing went as expected. Both parents disagreed with the TPR, so they were appointed attorney's, and now we wait for all the attorney's to set a fact finding date. Who knows when that could be?? Bf is adament his child will NOT be adopted! To bad he wasn't more adament before this point!
Here our family goes again....Wait.....and......See...The worse part! I guess we just learn to jump the hurdles one at a time! And most importantly trust God!! Thanks for listening! |

For us, It took 3 months to get to the actual trial date set from the 1st court date in which they appointed the birth parents attorneys. I knew the way our county worked SLOOOOW, so I lived day by day....looking forward to the next trial date and thinking we're one step closer.
Even though it seems a lifetime away, the ball IS rolling. The fact they have appointed attorney's... there is no going back now. To both Gregorysparents and mommyto9, I wish you alllllll the best during this time...patience, peace and all that good stuff!!

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone! The thing I deal with is..."Will it go through, or will it not go through?" This is our cw's first Involuntary TPR, and so she just doesn't know what the judge will look at. I know judges take removing parental rights seriously, as well they should, but how much is enough (evidence) ? To me missing 1/3 of the visits, not following the case plan, incarceration, drug use, among other things, this is all enough! But as we've all read on these posts, it's amazing what some of these children have to go home to! I will keep everyone posted...whether they like it or not!
