court is tomorrow
Well, court is tomorrow for our little guy. Both of us are sick today and it is below zero, so we will not be going. The worker thinks it will be adjourned (to get more visits in with the relative pursuing custody) and said I don't need to be there this time anyway, but you never know what will happen, so keep us in your thoughts please.
The judge hearing the case has a reputation (as many judges do) for ignoring the reports and requests of social services when any family member gets involved. I wasn't planning to bring him to court anyway because I am not going to have my last memory be of saying goodbye in a courthouse. |

Hi Lea
Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and will send good thought your way tomorrow. I totally agree with not taking him to the courthouse. I personally don't feel ANY child should need to be there unless they need to testify for some reason, and even then I think it should be in an office. I hope you and your family are feeling better soon. Michelle

I just wanted to add my support and agree that the child should never be at court unless the judge had asked for them to testify (then they are older anyway). Hope everyone feels better soon.
I am thinking of y'all and your little guy today.

Update...
thanks for all the positive thoughts. Well the judge did order more visits after SW'r fought for them. They go back to court mid-february and he will probably be leaving then, unless the relative admits that a baby is too much to handle and that is not likely to happen. I don't know if we can go through this again. |

Hi Lea,
I'm sorry this is so rough on you. Just love the baby with all your heart while you have him and know that you ARE making a difference in his life. Best of luck. Michelle
