First visit that the bio mom showed.
Ok....the kids got to see thier bio mom at KMart Saturday. They seemed glad to see each other. fs (13) fd (10), They walked around the store. About 30 minutes later bio mom seems ready to go. She comes and finds us. But.....I said oh......K I forgot to get your $5 christmas gift for Sunday School. I asked b-mom to take her if she would like. b-mom made the comment to fd that "you can't get anything for $5". Well, when they returned mom must have told the kids bye before they got to me 'cause she said bye and left before she ever reached me. She didn't offer to get her kids anything. She even let me pay for the $5 gift......LOL..... So here I am holding this gift and her daughter is holding me. Today is Tuesday and K has not even mentioned her. She usually ask to call her but since Saturday....not a word. I am not going to press her to call her. I figure when she gets ready to talk to her b-mom she will let me know. I just feel so blessed to have her. Even if she is a pain some days
...... Thanks for reading and allowing me to share my experience! Jeanna |

Hi there. It was nice to hear about other foster parents and their experiences. I have just recently found all the forums. While I enjoy hearing about everyone it is nice to hear from another foster parent. I am curious where do you live that the visits get to be at k-mart? I had two sisters that just left last night and when they had visits for the weekend the oldest would go days without even talking to her bparents, but would tell us she can't wait to see them again. Thanks again for sharing |

Jeanna,
Sorry to hear about the the birthmother's attitude! I hope that your fosterchild is doing better....I am sure it is very rough seeing their birthmother (and not going with her -- must be very confusing). You sound like a VERY caring fostermom and that is what they need!!! Good luck.
