Ages of foster care.
Can a child be placed in foster care up until the time that they turn 18? How long does foster care usually last?
Thanks, Emily |

Yes, a child can be placed into foster care until they turn 18. In KY I believe you receive your per diem rate until that time, however, the child can continue to receive monies while they are in school. They may even help them until they're 21 but I'm not positive about that.

In my state the child can remain in foster care until they are 18, or longer if they haven't finished highschool, but are still going full time.
