Today was O's court date: The judge decided that adoption by us was the best option for O and that the old fmom had no rights to O. We're so excited here. O's at school and I can't wait to see him and tell him he finally has an adoption day. His finalization day is on National Adoption Day in our state, Nov 20th. I'm so happy that soon I'll have 2 sons. Still pinching myself.

Mom of boys and dogs:
1 – B (husband - the biggest boy)
2 – D 6 years old, placed 3/05 at age of 2yr/10mo, TPR'd 2/06, adopted on 9/29/06!!!
3 – T 4 years old, placed 3/05 at age of 10mo, TPR'd 2/06, adopted on 9/29/06!!!
Had 18 other children placed with us during our 2 years as licensed foster parents.
We're considering getting back into Foster Care, just not sure if we are ready to deal with the system again...

We got our date today as well, our son is officially adopted on October 19th.

We've been so lucky to adopt 2 children within 1 year and 2 days. Which it will be by the time we adopt O. I still can't believe it's gone by so fast.

I took my camera with me to pick up O. So I was able to capture the moment I told him. But he already knew something was going on when I pulled out the camera to take a picture of him as I told him. So he told me first that he had an adoption day; I pretty much said yes, the 20th of November. He smiled and giggled and then his friends piled on him and gave him a big hug.

We really wanted to adopt, and somehow it happened for us, we owe a lot to our cat sitter who pointed us in the right direction. Can you believe it's all because of our cat sitter. Isn't that crazy.

The boys are ready for 2 big parties. One here in NJ and one in PA (since I have a lot of family there). And Raj is so excited to finally adopt O. And have a forever brother.
