Talking We finalized today !!!!
Today R (born K) officially became Rajaram. We're so excited and happy to finally have a child of our own. Of course I cried through the whole proceeding. So now I'm legally a mother. YEAH!

Raj was placed with us January 9th, 2004. We had to go through the TPR process, but he was consider low risk.

I'll have to figure out how to post a picture, but yes I'll post one soon.

YIPPEEEEEE!!!!! I wanted to cry thinking about you crying throughout the hearing. I know I'll do the same and I'm SURE my dh will too....they had to stop our wedding mid-ceremony to see if he was okay because he was sobbing. I was a little worried, but 17 years later I know he's just a big old sentimental teddy bear!

I'm SOOOOO happy for you. He is adorable!!

Wow Leena, he's really beautiful. Has anyone else noticed that almost every foster child and adopted child is beautiful? I'm serious here, I don't think I've ever seen an ugly one! Not that it matters, it's just kind of odd that they would all be so hansome.

He's Beautiful
He is adorable! I cannot get over how much he looks like one of my sons!

I was wondering, if you dont mind sharing, what is his "racial heritage"?

Raj is a VERY common name where we live - but only in the Indian community (as in from India). I had assumed when I heard his name that he was Indo-American ... but he looks AA in the picture.

Anyway ... I would love to hear the story of how you choose his name and why.
