Thumbs up

as a fostermother I seen my fs at age 11 hanging on to my arm trembling because he had to apear at the court hearing to Tpr his mother.. not because he was afraid it go throw but because he didn't want to see her and was afraid what she say to him, I have to admit I blamed the social worker any anyone else i could for making this little boy go throw this court date.. I was wrong, it was the judge that wanted him there,
But fs still wanted to be with family just not her... he eaither wanted to stay with us or to aunt or uncle.... After the court date he changed... from the little Boy to doing anything not to be adoplted by strangers, went from a A student to f's breaking any rule to make it no one want him, so when or if a family Member steped up.. he could live with them.. His social worker realized this and keep looking for a family memeber.. in end she found one, his bio father brother whom no one seemed to know about and whom didn't know about my Fs.. as soon as she found him, he came here from another state and did all the paperwork to get my fs.. At 18 years later my f-s showed up at my door , At 1st I didn't know it was him but soon as he said something I knew & I hugged him... He told me about how his social worker went out the way for him, even got in trouble because he wasn't adoplted as quick as courts wanted.. He told me he tryed to find her to thank her, But she no longer worked in our state... I know your hands are tied and sometimes what right for 1 not right for the other... Judge's don't always do what best for the kids, and social worker can only do so much.. but I know of one little boy that finally found happiness because someone listen and faught for what was right for him, I found that the social worker's do get a raw deal alot time.. When you think it too much for you to deal with...Try and Remember the difference you might have made in 1 child life, like my fs social worker did for him!
