Dear all ye foster parents out there,

I am myself a teenage foster kid. I came into foster care very

oddly when I was 12. My dad had sexually abused me and my

mom didnt belive me after i told a friend who told a PE teacher

who told a counselor who told the police who told CPS who told

my mom what i had said.. She told me how evil DSS and foster

parents were.She blamed me for "messing up her family." My

mom has sociopathic tendencies. She believes her lies. So now

my ENTIRE bio family and stepdad's(turned out my abuser wasnt

my father,interesting) side hate my guts. And my foster parents

still stick it out, for me. Even after my bio family started telling lies

about them and bashing them in court. Even though i push them

away constantly. Even though i always have appoinments i have

to go to.Even though i ran away from them.Even though i've lied

to them. They are still here. And though its hard for me to

believe, they still want me. So thank you foster parents, mine and

others. If it wern't for you, kids like me would be just another

suicide statistic. Thank you so very much for all that you do,

Thank you for Sharing. What a blessing it is to hear that you know you are wanted. I foster and mentor teen boys. I love them all very much. I don't always like the things they do, but I will never give up on them. They are my family. I am sure your FP feel the same about you. God gave us the ability to love and I know he wants us to use that gift. I hope you will find peace and happiness in your life. Accept the love you are recieving and give it back. You will be in my prayers.
