we're official
We had our final meeting today and our safety inspection. Our worker said to expect our foster licence in the next two weeks. Yeah! I have to say I was having major stresses today that she would hate us and say that after everything, we could not become foster parents. Now we just wait and see what sorts of placements may come our way. We said we would like a pre-adopt placement first and then would take other kids.

Congrats! I know my wife and I were so nervous that last day of the safety inspection and it ended up being no big deal. Get to know your "intake" workers (the people who are assigned finding homes for the new kids, they have different names in different states) and they will make sure you always have a placement.
